For some reason, a decade always seems to get our attention. We have big celebrations for birthdays that end in zero because, well, it’s a decade. We describe entire segments of our culture by the decade they’re from: music, movies, fashion, hair styles. If you hear someone talk about the 60’s or 70’s or 80’s or 90’s, certain images immediately come to mind. Oh, some of you weren’t alive back then. That’s ok, you have images for the first two decades of the 2000s. Decades are so iconic because a lot can happen in 10 years. A lot has happened over the past 10 years. A lot is going to happen in the next 10 years. It’s just a decade, but so much can change in a decade.
