Your First Visit

When someone comes to church for the first time, they often have a lot of questions! One of the most frequently asked is, "Where will my kids go during church?" Here's how it works at Journey! We want you to have a great experience in church, but we also want your kids to have a great time too. That's why we've developed kids' environments that are custom-created just for them. 

While they're having fun, we want your mind to be at ease: they are being cared for in a safe and secure environment staffed with excellent, background-checked volunteers. 

In order to make sure your kids are properly checked in to our kids' environments, we will need a few pieces of information from you.
You can provide this on Sunday mornings at any one of our check-in stations.

What To Expect

Every Sunday all children (babies through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand that we encourage you to not take them into the service designed for adults and students (6th grade and older).

Each service (9:30am & 11:00am) are identical. The service begins with elementary age kids in their small groups. After a 15 minute intro to the day, kids are taken to a high energy large group worship experience with great music & teaching from God's Word.

After large group the kids return to their small group to wrap up the day.Your child can be picked up in their small group room at the end of the service.


How Check-In Works

Every Sunday you will check your child in at our check-in desk. You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will wear a name tag while you keep a matching security tag. 

fter the service, you will return to the Journey Kids area and present your tag to a Journey Kids teammate for them to match your tags and release your child back to you. A Journey Kids teammate will never release your child to anyone without the correct, matching tag.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message using the number you provided to us upon check-in. Please keep your phone on vibrate so that you will be aware if you're needed! We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and proceed to the check-in desk to meet our kids' team who will fill you in.

Come join us at our ALL NEW Kids Quest this fall, for an adventure of learning the basics of our faith and questions we have for God. If you want to purchase pizza and a drink, we will meet up at 6:15PM then the quest will begin at 6:30PM and end at 8:00PM. On our quest, we will memorize scripture, learn about God's word, make friends, and have tons of fun! We cannot wait to see your kindergarten through fifth graders on Wednesday night starting January 10 through April 10 2024!
