Some things in life are easy. You don’t have to think about them. You don’t lie awake at night worried about them. You aren’t afraid that you’re somehow messing up or that others are judging you or that your actions today will leave scars for the next 50 years. You just do them. They’re easy. Then, there’s parenting: a role that gives you a ticket to joy, laughter, and memories, but also grants you full access to fear, worry, insecurities, and a lot of work. If you’re standing at the top of the mountain of parenting, just know, there’s no easy way down.
